Coach Ken Brooke

Ken Brooke is one of the most knowledgeable hitting coaches in the country with over 30 years experience working with baseball/softball teams and players from high school to Big League. He is On Base University certified, has worked with MLB hitting coaches and helped the Texas Rangers with the content in their system-wide hitting guide. He uses video analysis, Blast, On Base U functional movement screens and K-vest to help track his hitters progress and improve their efficiency, contact and power.

2022: Ken accepted a position with the Auburn University softball team as the graduate assistant hitting coordinator. He uses technology to screen hitters and provides analytical and biomechanical data (along with video) to create hitting plans for the coaching staff to implement.

2021: He joined the Chandler-Gilbert College (Chandler, AZ) softball team 2 games into its spring season as the hitting and outfield coach and began teaching and designing drills that put his players’ bodies in better swing positions, posture and sequence. He identified swing inhibitors for each player and created individualized plans that gave the Coyotes their best offensive numbers in over 5 years.

2020: Ken was named hitting coordinator for the varsity and jv baseball teams at Ottawa University (Surprise, AZ) designing hitting practices and individualized improvement plans for 37 hitters. The varsity went on to have its best offensive spring season in the program’s 4 year existence.

Ken played college baseball at Lincoln Junior college and Bradley University, then went on to be player/manager in a semi-pro league winning 4 consecutive championships and one batting title. He has been head baseball coach at both the HS and jr. college level. He played outfield on a state qualifying men’s fastpitch team.
